Nació en Barcelona (España), el 13 de agosto de 1975. Estudió música y piano en el Conservatorio Superior de Música del Liceo. Ha participado en algunos cortometrajes, documentales y publicidad, y ha debutado en el cine de largometraje en 2004.

Marc Vaíllo (Barcelona, 1975) writes music, mainly for films.
Musician (Liceu) with a Degree in Communication (UPF), his work has been performed in the Palau de la Generalitat de Catalunya, la Sala Metrònom and at the CCCB, amongst others. He was awarded the New Talent Pavillion at Milia98 (Cannes).
Vaillo began his music career scoring short films like ‘Upside Down’ (2002) and ‘El negre és el color dels déus’ (2003). In 2004 scored his first feature film, the thriller ‘El Habitante Incierto’ (The Uninvited Guest) directed by awarded director Guillem Morales.
His credits now include music for a number of awarded films: Ull Per Ull (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) (2009) TV-show nominated for an IFMCA Award), ‘XP3D’ (Paranormal Xperience 3D, 2011), O.S.T. Orson West (2012) nominated for a Gaudí Award, Los Inocentes (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) (2013) and Secuestro (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) (2016). He was awarded with Best Original Score for Tuning (2003) at Alcine33.
Vaíllo is also founder and conductor of Morpheus Ensemble, contemporary music group, dedicated to perform film scores. Live concerts include original music for silent films by W. Ruttmann, L. Moholy-Nágy and S. de Chomón in different programmes.
Lecturer of Film Scoring (composition) at ESMUC (Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya). He also teaches Digital Audio, Trailers, Audiovisual Production and Storytelling at UVic (University of Vic) and has taught communication at UPF.
